In that long moment at The Parish last night "Blackened Crown" became my nw favorite song. I just wish I knew where to find it. What is humorous is how wonderful it sounded when Chauntelle was so sure it would be horrible. That girl just doesn't know how much she rocks. JD It's one of the very first songs they ever recorded. Since it's from long before they were signed, you can download it and the rest of their early songs here. |

They would stand there and just stare at us like if they never seen a hispanics before. _________________

I'm sorry that was uncomfortable. Seems very unlike Austin, and Eisley's crowd. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

that was such a great show. i would have posted sooner but i was still in shock. and i don't see how two mexicans could have been harrassed or anything. i was there, i'm "hispanic" and i was wearing a cannibal corpse t-shirt, nobody bugged me. i was even dancing like a mad man (acutally more like a woman) and still, nobody said anything to me. it was a terrific show though, and the eisley kids are so kind and respectful. they all shook my hand and took the time to ask me how i was and listen and stuff. during the first 2 bands (which i hated, meh), they just hung out near the stage (where i got a picture with stacy). they signed and signed and signed and took pictures with almost everybody. and their performance was simply amazing. i didn't know what to expect going in there, my only concert experiences being death metal and the likes, but it was a truly magnificent performance. on stage, they didn't seem like gimuntic rock stars (even though they're well on their way to be), instead, it was like seeing a couple of friends going out there and having fun. the crowd there was a lot bigger than i would have thought, too. waterloo was so packed i was surprised i even got an autograph (i missed the show because of traffic). but at the parish the crowd was just insane. i was near the drunk people who yelled for blackened crown, and i'm glad they did, that was such an amazing performance. as a sort-of-musician myself, i saw a lot of growth in them. they took that song to new heights that night, and they were concerned with messing it up. ahh...it was a great night, and i have a pic with the band, a pic with stacy, like 20 pics of sherri on stage, and 2 autographs from each of them...oh yeah and 4 buttons and a sticker...NOT TO MENTION, the experience of a lifetime. anyone who hasn't seen eisley yet, owes it to themselves to go see them. it's well worth the ticket price, many times over even. that night was truly inspiration. (and they're all so gosh darned pretty in person!) I LOVE YOU ALL! _________________ "You gotta think about a'starvin people gotta eat sand to survive. Humm, I wonder why Eisley have to be coaxed to play Blackened Crown? Maybe because it is so old they are just sick of it at this point. Anyone from the Eisley innner-circle wish to comment on this? I love all of Eisley's songs - I mean it I don't think there is a clunker I have heard from them - but B.C. is really really haunting. It may go on my list of all-time favorite songs ever. |

I wish I could say I was in Eisley's inner circle, but I was at The Parish. It didn't seem at all like they were sick of "Blackened Crown". It simply wasn't one of the songs they had planned on playing, and I'm pretty sure they had a list. After the concert was over the applause was so overwhelming that they spontaneously came back on stage for an encore. They decided to take a request and "Blackened Crown" was the first one uttered. It was a glorious experience. What was funny was how beautiful it turned out, eventhough they (especially Chauntelle) felt like it would be a disaster. Apparently, Chauntelle doesn't know her own strengths. JD _________________ "Well, hopefully that's our job, to strap rockets onto everything." - Adam Savage, Mythbusters |
