Hey everyone... I guess this post will be kind of like a post that I would normally put on my xanga, or something, but I feel so close to the Eisley community, that I think you will enjoy reading my thoughts, and understand where I'm coming from. Most of you know, I am mom to 4/5ths of Eisley, and Boyd and I have 6 kids in all. I wanted to jot down my thoughts, and hopes for the future, as the release date of the album draws near. Our family has been working towards February 8th, 2005, since 1998. Yep, that's right....this album has been 7 years in the making. Of course we did not realize that at the time, or have it in our plans to have 6 children, and 4 of them create a band, but it happened, and you all have embraced them. I cannot count the sacrifices made, and the time invested in helping to build and support this band. It cannot be measured. Because of the closeness of our family, and our solid belief that Eisley's music needs to be heard by the world, all 8 of us decided that we really wanted to come out on this 2 week tour during the album release, and be together on the day that it is released. So, off we went....all 11 of us in the 15 passenger Eisley van. My hopes are that our family will always look back on this time with fond, happy memories. None of us are expecting bountiful wealth, or our worldly goods to increase if the album does good. I hope that we will always remember this tour where we slept three in a hotel bed, and some on hard floor mattresses, Boyd's computer busted again, all of us sick with runny noses and fever, all of us with negative bank accounts waiting for Boyd's paycheck, running to the pharmacy to get Collin a prescription because he ended up with a sinus infection, the piles of empty kleenex boxes, and peanut butter jars, and the complete exhaustion as we have gone from state to state to bring Eisley's music to their amazing fans. I hope that Eisley's music will continue to grow, and be loved by more and more people, not because we are wanting riches, but because there music is special, and it needs to continue. I want to take this little moment to say "thank you" to all of the Eisley community, and fans that have stuck with us, come along side us, and supported, helped, and believed in Eisley with unselfish motives to see Eisley succeed. TRUELY, if Eisley is a success, it will be due to you the fans, and friends that have helped. Daily we feel humbled by the way Eisley's fans help and support the band. This trip for me, in spite of all the stress and negative things, has been a time where i have cherished, moment by moment. I have enjoyed getting to meet some of you forum people and hope to get to meet more as the tour continues. Most likely, I will not be seeing much of 4 of my kids and my husband, for the rest of the year after the album releases as the road will call them, and tours will demand their presence. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as this year begins to unfold, and "thank you" again, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you to Dave Holmes, Darin Harmon, WB music, Craig Aaronson, and too many of you to list for seeing what you saw in Eisley, and helping to support them. There are some of you that deserve a personal "thank you", but you know who you are, and if i began to list some of you by name, I'd be here a very long time, and we have to get ready to get back on the road for tonights show. You know who you are...."thank you"! Love, Kimbrtones 4/5ths Eisley mom |

there's not much i can say back to that except to extend a pathetic thank YOU and a you're welcome. i mean, we've been so involved, some fans for years, with everything the band does that we, imho, have developed an understanding that we all wish you the best and more and we are all hoping that this album will do well because of your family and the bands extreme hard work and sacrafice for everything. good luck and feel better. touring with colds and fevers are no fun! |

I do not pray, but if I did I would pray for you. In any case, all my hopes and wishes go with you. We all love you so much that you may never understand just how much. Eisley, will you be my valentine? JD _________________ "Well, hopefully that's our job, to strap rockets onto everything." - Adam Savage, Mythbusters |

oh Kim, you guys are the greatest! You all will be and have been in my prayers...trust, all the sacrifices will turn for the good, often in more ways than we usually imagine. Have fun and cherish all the memories that you have had and also those in the making. God Bless all of you! |

*wants Kim to be his second mom* You are so awesome Kim. You AND Eisley. What other bands (and band moms) would go out of their way to publicly thank people? Sure they have it on the albums, but not publicly announced. I think I speak in behalf of MANY people when I say thank YOU, Kim, for bringing Eisley to us, and for all the awesomeness you have taught them. They are great kids, and you helped them be that way! You are in mine as well as many other's prayers.
