Posted: Sat Feb 05, 2005 8:41 am There are probably lots of folks in here who are fans of bands like Brand New, Hot Rod Circuit, Reggie & The Full Effect, and company... and no disrespect to any of you. But I'm certain there are others in here like me who don't like/listen to these bands. (For the record, I like Hot Rod Circuit's sound a li'l bit.. but I guess I just prefer other bands w/similar sound, like Brandtson.) My question is--as an Eisley fan, what do you do when they're opening for bands you don't really like? For the record, Eisley + Coldplay was a BEAUTIFUL combination for me. So was Snow Patrol. I'd actually love to see Eisley open for Death Cab For Cutie or The Appleseed Cast. But yeah, I know, the band's tours have not and do not revolve around me and what I think. _________________ http://unclebutta.tripod.com my concert bootlegs collection. |

Well Eisley sticks around near their merch area after they do their opening set, and they usually stick around well into the headliner's set. So you can go see Eisley, then talk to them for a while after their show, then leave _________________ |

I like checking out bands. A good live performance can win favor. If not, I just got find Eisley and say hi, or find a friend and hang out. Something like that. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

But hey, it beats them opening for, say, Garth Brooks. NFG won't kill you. *shrug* But the crowd will. When Eisley opened for Hot Rod Circuit + Brand New, the crowd almost killed me (and everyone in the room). It was insane. More insane than any hardcore or metal show I've ever seen. Not to mention, I saw Reggie & Full Effect back in 2001 and did not like 'em. New Found Glory's set might be tolerable. ( Now, Saves The Day would've been a nice choice in place of Reg..) I hear what folks are saying about "Watch Eisley. Then leave." But it's difficult to justify spending $17 just for a 30-min. live set of music (which is what Eisley'll get). _________________ http://unclebutta.tripod.com my concert bootlegs collection. |
