at the new year show a couple years ago robot brown opened for eisley. they were terrible, and I just tried to ignore the music even though it was loud. then I went and picked up one of their CDs as a present for a friend, as a joke. they were really really bad. I felt sorry for them but I couldnt clap after each song anyway. then I found the eisleyoids in the back and bothered them some. it was still a fun expirience. _________________

To me its not a matter of them opening for bands i dont like, its a matter of me feeling that they are getting short changed by opening for bands that aren't even in the same realm in terms of talent and uniqueness. _________________ I can't find an icon |

I agree with the person who said that it's not worth paying X amount of money to see Eisley for just half an hour and then leave, in large part because I would have to drive 4+ hours to get to NYC which is the closest place they are playing on the NFG tour. If I actually lived in the city, I'm pretty sure I'd dish out the cash and go, but would probably feel a little upset that the experience was so short (compare to RH concerts which are 2 and a half hours long). I think the best idea is just to wait until Eisley headlines their own tour, which supposedly will happen soon after they are done with NFG tour. In any event, this is their first album, half the band aren't even 21, so there will be plenty of opportunities in life to see them (eisley will ALWAYS have a solid enough fanbase for touring). _________________ "You're my favorite person." - David Carradine, Kill Bill vol. 2 |

Some of us can't help our nervousness. I still will never understand why I've hung out and chewed the fat with older musicians in other bands that I listen to, like we were classmates or something... but the 2nd time I opened my mouth around members of this band, I don't know what led me to do this, I think I interrupted a conversation among them + said something really weird/stupid/out-of-place. (1st time I opened my mouth was a normal and cool, brief little interaction between me, Boyd + Chauntelle in lobby of Metro.) To be honest, because opportunities to see an Eisley show run 1-2 per year here in Chicago, I'll probably catch them in April. (The NFG tour is playing here two nights--April 9 and 10--I think they added the 2nd night 'cause they knew I had another engagement on the 9th and wouldn't be able to make it, hehehe _________________ http://unclebutta.tripod.com my concert bootlegs collection. |

i am actually a fan of both new found glory and reggie and the full effect. i was really suprised when i found out that eisley was going on tour with them. i think they both have different audiences.but anyway i want to watch the whole show.does eisley stick are till after the whole show is done? or only until there set is done? |

well...personally, i am happily paying 17 doll hairs to see just eisley. i really can't stand Reggie and the full effect (what i have heard that is) and i think that NFG is the worst band....alive...ever. i plan on doing the same thing most people said what they were doing...and going to the merch table and talking to boyd and chauntelle. i dont know why i wont talk to the rest of them....actually i do....but...thats it...i wont talk to them. i cant. _________________ can simultaneously snap fingers and blink. |
