"Eisley" It is a night to drown in. A flourescent moon backlights Shining faces relecting our love: Artemis, Source of perfect sounds, And yet silent; Persephone, in Spring, Shortened locks uncovering Two precious liquid pools; Athena, A shock now darkened Hides priceless sapphires; Blood linked Hephaestus hammers in time; Love linked Apollo Strums the deep lyre, sated. With richness purer and sweeter Than the darkest chocolate they sing Of a world more full and clear Than can be. Sisters, your song Bears a burden too weighty For the whorled heart's ear. On the mundane order, Your voices lay seige. You lodge In our love and dreams. By: JD (modeled somewhat after Sylvia Plath's "Lorelei". Sylvia Plath is my favorite poet. Thanks. If you find the original version, you will notice it is HEAVILY modified. Almost unrecognizable. If I hadn't said anything it is most likely no one would've noticed, but I had to give Sylvia props.
