Sorry in advance if this has been posted before.. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&uid=MIW060502130506&sql=10:hr k0ikvdbb29~T1 _________________ hello, i'm Ivy don't mind my username, it's oldoldold |

http://www.livedaily.com/news/7699.html?t=100 My God, soooooooo many factual errors! What's that album cover at the top? Marvelous Things, you idiots! And Chauntelle and Sherri sing sweetly? I'm surprised he didn't say Weston and Jon were brothers. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I wrote the liveDaily guy a letter. Quote: Dear Mr. Harrington,
It saddens me that you genuinely didn't enjoy Eisley's full length debut, Room Noises. I should mention that I am a female just out of my teens, and I enjoy Eisley greatly--however, their appeal stretches far beyond my easily-stereotyped demographic. I've been to an Eisley show and have seen this band win over a varied audience. The members of the official Eisley forum range from early teens through middle age (as a couple of market research polls on the forum revealed). To imply that Eisley is only appealing to young girls still immersed in a fantasy world is to negate a broad, discriminating audience full of people who are very devoted to the band, myself included. Also, a number of factual errors made me hesitate to take your review seriously. The image at the top of the page is of the cover to Eisley's second major-label EP, Marvelous Things. Chauntelle DuPree is indeed one of the siblings in the band, but she generally plays guitar and only lends harmony to one song on Room Noises, whereas Sherri and Stacy are the principal vocalists. Eisley have won over many people--including less-than-impressed critics--in the past, and I hope that eventually they'll have the same effect on you. I'd hate for you to miss out on what will undoubtedly be a very bright future for this talented band. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Please post review links in the Room Noises review thread, sticky post at the top of this forum. I'll add these to the list in that thread if they aren't already. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |
