Getting rid of facial hair is kind of hard. After awhile you get attached to it. A year ago I had a handlebar mustache and accompanying "soul patch". I was so close to it I felt the only way to justify getting rid of it was to make a silent film called "Death of La Moustache"... didn't work out though. But... I missed reading the Boyd posts. Your posts are so unique because they're a very personal connection between fans and the band. I'm not aware of any other band or artist that has that kind of connection. It keeps it real. I remember around the time Room Noises came out and you weren't posting that much that Eisley seemed a bit more distant and more national, or nationwide (if that makes more sense). Luckily I was able to see a few songs at the Gypsy Teal Room and noticed Jon walk past me at Good Records (though I missed the oppurtunity to have coffee with you guys at Cafe Brazil later that day... my friends were there and didn't know what Eisley looked like). Anyways: A boydBlog would be an amazingly unique aspect of Eisley's interaction with fans. p.s. I had a really good speech in my head, but I couldn't translate it into words. _________________ HST - RIP "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." - Jimi Hendrix "You may say I'm a Dreamer, but I'm not the only one." -John Lennon |

man, man, man... sounds like you are starting to get uber busy again boyd. so do you've any idea what 6 songs y'all will be getting play? i'm very happy Eisley is playing first. i won't have to listen to any of the other bands (no offense to them... but...), and i hear the lame Quest has a 9:30 curfew (crapazoid!), so I will securely know I won't miss any of the Eisley set and have time to talk afterwards. |
