To be honest the whole thing reminded me more of ..."Wild Stallions"! That band is fronted by Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan.

i thought it was the wyld stallyns or something like that

and yes, i heart ian mackaye...i wasn't intentiaonally trying to sound like him, but i guess there was a subconscious thing going on there

I'm sure you're right, that the name was misspelled somehow, but I do not own the movie so I cannot find the real misspelling. I cannot find one way to spell it on-line either. My signature may be misleading. I view it more as a way of life than just a funny tag-line.
