I'm waiting for the next Xbox. I have PS2 and Xbox, and a bunch of vintage consoles (Saturn, Genesis, NES, PS1, N64) as well. The next Xbox sounds like a winner to me, except for the hard disc issue. THEY NEED A HARD DISK IN THE XBOX NEXT! I play both consoles, but I love the Xbox's controls and saving abilities. The PS2 didn't really do much for me. Sure they had good games, but the graphics weren't grand and you couldn't put your own soundtracks on while playing games. And I can't believe how Sony outsold Microsoft! I won't even start on the Gamecube!

As for games, I'm addicted to Timesplitters 2! I know its old, but it is soooo much fun! I LOVE FIRST-PERSON SHOOTERS!

Anyone who is interested on the next Xbox can read an article here:

Yes... The PS3 seems promising, but I'll stick with Microsoft!

If I get the X-Box it won't have reserve compatibility for my old PS and PS2 games. Sounds like not a good investment for me.

hmmmm...sure that could be a problem, but the PS3 sure won't play any Xbox games either, buddy. THE INVISIBLE HAND OF COMPETION!

Why did you decide to go with ABBAgirl? Why not "Dancing Queen"? Or "Mamma Mia"? Or "Chiquitita"? Or "Super Trouper"?

im definately getting the Second Xbox(Xbox Next next sounds kinda stupid...), as it will have the Elder Scroll 4: Oblivion. i have only played the Elder Scrolls 3 games for about 100+ hours...

but the new nintendo system, unless is has some killer launch titles, im going to pass it up. only zelda will make me by that system, which will most likely suck.

I'm horrid at video games, but the XBox never appealed to me. The PlayStation stuff is always more fun for me, and I like how it plays better. There's something about XBox gameplay that bugs me. I just don't know what it is ...

screw that...i'll just get them all...each has it's own interesting benefit...

but seriously, i go where the games go, wherever Capcom, Konami, Square-Enix and Sega land, i will follow...

that's why the Saturn and the Nintendo are among my favorite systems, they had a battery of awesome games...and i've got a couple hundred in my closet to prove it

PS3 all the way.

The only franchises that would make me buy a Nintendo console are Zelda and Sonic (which is now being ported to every system).

Microsoft never had enough great software on the Xbox to make me even think seriously about buying one. The only game I really want is Halo, but I'm not about to drop $250 I don't have for one game.

Sony, on the other hand, has several franchises I enjoy (Grand Theft Auto, Midnight Club, ect.) and a great library of software (Plus the PS3 is rumored to get exclusive distribution of Soul Caliber 3).

I never got the obsession with Halo. I thought it was crap. Didn't even bother playing Halo 2. Besides the fact that the xBox is a Microsoft product, it just doesn't appeal to me. I haven't bought a system since the n64, and the only reason I even bought that is cause I got a great deal on it from a co-worker (basically, he threw it in for free when I bought his NES off him). Nothing will ever beat the NES.

Actually, I prefer the Sony consoles, but have played both Halos at a family member's home. The first one was o.k., but the second was better for sure.
What I don't get is your comment about nothing beating the NES. Sounds like you're being a retro-snob.
