This is probably a very silly question, but does anyone know how a person could get original copies of EP's 1 and 2? I know that they are technically out of print. But I also know that copies exist. They're out there, and perhaps they are in the hands of someone who would be willing to part with them. Okay, so it was an extremely silly question, but you can't blame me for asking. In any case, I'm looking for them. If you or someone you know would like to help me out, I would be grateful and quite generous in making it worth your while. _________________ No no no no no no way, sir. |

How much money do you have? For an original, around here, it will cost a bundle. In fact, good luck finding a copy someone will part with. You do know they were all just burned anyways, right? They were just burned by the band, or by Boyd. Most likely by Boyd. You're better off going to OGG and making your own copies. http://www.orangegoldandgreen.com/ Just go to the discography and find the EPs. There are links to mp3s for each song. Make your own copies and take them to a concert to have them signed. They'll be cool. You have links to the artwork? Where? Where?! Actually I think I have a jpg of the art on EP 2 somewhere, but I'd still like to see this link. JD _________________ "Well, hopefully that's our job, to strap rockets onto everything." - Adam Savage, Mythbusters |

I'm familiar with (and grateful for) OGG, so I've already got all of the tracks in question. My quest is more about owning an authentic original disc, even if it was burned on CD-R, and I do understand why that will be next to impossible. I just figured it couldn't hurt to post and see what happened. I don't really want to come on here yelling out prices I'd be willing to pay because it isn't my intention to have someone who cares about the band put in the position of choosing between their EP's and a whole lot of cash. My thought was that perhaps there are people who bought these EP's way back when and weren't thrilled with them, or had a change in taste and don't listen to them too much anymore. I'm not saying these are smart people, but they could potentially exist. Why would they be lurking around the Laughing City, you ask? Well, that I just don't know. As you can see, I clearly don't have this thing completely thought through. Thanks so much for the replies so far. I would still love to check out whatever links exist to photos of the EP artwork. glenn _________________ No no no no no no way, sir. |

Sherri and I did most of the burning. But, I think all of us in the DuPree house had a turn at one time or another. The "mass burning", happened when we needed like...500 to take to Cornerstone! All kinds of people helped on that hehe i can just imagine a whole line of the Dupree's in a line. But if Sherri did the burning, who did the artwork? _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she? I've been a fan for about 2 1/2 years now, and I'd still love a original copy of ep1 - hehe. Good luck in your journey finding one... P. _________________ "Enjoy Every Sandwich" - Warren Zevon "What's Life Without Music?" - The Mermaid Purse www.myspace.com/ptah |
