does anyone else think its gross that eisley is touring with nfg?
i mean, talk about completely different genres of music.
don't get me wrong.. it's fine to mix different types of bands while touring..
but nfg?

i saw nfg at warped tour, and they were horrible. and all the "punk" kids who are into nfg are normally too close-minded to realize the beauty of a band like eisley...because, HEY, I CANT MOSH TO EISLEY, AND NONE OF THEM WEAR SPIKES.

Hi

Ok I respect that you're not much for NFG. Just think of it this way, they are developing relationships with these guys and also Reggie and the Full Effect which by the way is more way off and in the process of this they are gaining musical experience performing infront of different audiences.

And don't be cynical toward all fans who are into NFG, and if they are close-minded that is THEIR PROBLEM. They WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT.

To say that people who listen to punk music are close minded is extremely close minded in itself. I don't even know where to begin pointing out all the other ridiculous things in that post.

New Found Glory obviously likes Eisley and gave them an incredible opportunity to tour the country and play for kids who under other circumstances would probably not have been exposed to them. This is a very good thing for a band. They're gaining an audience out of an untapped demographic. If thirty kids at every show like what they hear and tell a friend, it's still a good thing.

New Found Glory is a very successful band. Whether they happen to be your thing or not, you can't take that away from them. They're obviously doing something right.

The West Coast just has better taste in Music.

Look at all the great american bands that have come out of San Francisco, or Los Angeles, or Phoenix, or Seattle, or Texas.

What music has the east coast contributed to the world?

Please don't lump Metallica in with hair metal. Metallica was (and if hair metal was still around, is) extremely anti-hair metal.

to "thedoctor"

i wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or serious...i just thought we were past the "my coast is better" thing. but anyway, so amazing things have happened all over the country, i'm lucky enough to have seen some amazing music in my short life, from bands all OVER the place. i don't think you can make generalizations to areas - to cities and "scenes" maybe, or at least how they differ, but that's it.

i have to go watch a movie about gay werewolves now though.....so that probably discredits anything serious i've ever said. but it is the end of the school year, what can you do? and i've already answered that question...

Ok, heres my theory. Currently, Eisley is still "indie" if you will. On the east coast, for better or worse (more often times worse), they are fiercely dedicated to their "scene" and will rarely seek out music outside of the I-95 corridor area. This is obviously not everyone on the east coast, but I'd say a lot of people who frequent small shows do this.

the east coast doesn't get Eisley because it is too near the UK.
