OGG is totally awesome for having all the old (Moss)Eisley stuff, and i was gonna burn a CD or two of the old songs, listen to 'em in the car and what not...
anyway, i just wanted to know what songs make a good mix, go well together, flow well, etc.
suggestions?

I just burned EPs 1 and 2 (one CD for each). I also put the live stuff, interviews etc on one uber CD (in order of date. Newest first, oddly).

although, i do llways find Room Noises great! Very Happy

ehhh they all go together...
when i make an Eisley mix, i usually fuse live performances with old songs...i'll start off with like Lady of the Wood V2 at Slims in California, which has this great intro organ part, and then move through to maybe Mr Pine and They All Surrounded me, but not the two of them together cos you don't wanna go to fast ya know...you gotta space that out.
But you put it what sounds good, Tree Tops at the metro here, lullaby there, dream for me, blackened crown, and finish it off maybe after like 20 tracks with Lost at Sea at Cole Studios, which ends with that guy saying "that was great" over and over again...has a nice affect, especially in a car

I made one a while ago and I like the order of it:

1) Telescope Eyes (Oldest version)
2) Over the Mountains We Go (Old Version)
3) Head Against the Sky
4)Dream For Me
5)Blackened Crown
6)Laughing City (Old Version)
7)Mr. Pine
Cool I Wasn't Prepared (Old)
9) Lost At Sea (Casette)
10) Pretender
12) Sleepy Head
13) Becoming You
14) Silver Bugs
15)..... anything else you have left over. Preferably a happy song. I like to end my cds on a high note Cool

edit: This is funny. I can't list the number 8 next to a parenthesis because it ends up making the "cool smiley" face

Also, here's a live mix I put together a while back:

1) Lady of the Woods (New Music Fest, Stacy solo)
2) Lady of The Wood (Live at Slims)
3) The Escaping Song Toronto
4) Queen of Leaves
5) Sunfeet
6) They All Surrounded Me (Slims)
7) Cookie Cutter Mystery
Cool Lullaby
9) Just Like We Do (Brewtones)
10) Lost at Sea (Cole Studios)
11) One Day I Slowly Floated A-way
12) Silver Bugs Live
13) Vintage People Live

Surprisingly, Lady of The Wood back to back sounds really good. The upbeat version is a nice break from the slower one.

I have long since forgotten the art of mixing CDs. My head unit in my car can read mp3 files with random play. Voila! New mix every time Smile

its all on OGG...some of them you need to rip the audio from the video, but if you have itunes you can open the .mov in itunes then go to your library and find the file and right click and hit save as mp3
TA DA!

it would be cool if we made a forum cd maybe call it room murmers or something. we could come up with a track listing and make an ISO out of it that you dl and burn right to your cd and one of hte more graphically inclined boardies could make some cover art that you download and print to be in a cd case. voila, our own cd.
