aaa!! i've found it!!!
my god i was excited when i heard sherri said it..

anyway, it wasn't during a performance, it was during an interview with WMUC college radio... one of the guys asked the band about recording the album, whether the management had lots of say on the making of the album.. and sherri said 'brightly wound' was the track that the management wanted to be on the album and stuff..

anyway, go here and download the 38min long interview... http://www.orangegoldandgreen.com/audio.html

to save u guys the trouble of listening all the way (not that it was a bad interview, it was fun to listen to actually) , skip ahead to around 11:50...

wow.. man that was fun...

It is most definately "wound" as in "wrapped around". or like "wound up".

verb: To wrap or encircle (an object) in a series of coils; entwine

If you have time, download the interview...it's a big file.
