Eisley isn't the only band playing at the Meridian tonight. Static-X is playing in the other room. That's why you see the goths. Although, no genuine goth would listen to Static-X.

I didn't see a single dog-chain in our side of the building. Cheers.

I have an idea. Why don't you get out and experience life outside your little box? Maybe then you'll learn not to judge books by their covers. Sheesh. What gives?

fer serious

look at ryan fisher and me
he loves hardcore music like Circle Takes the Square and other such music and I dig tons of dance music and hardcore hip hop
and yet you look at us, and we just seem like little indie kids who stand motionless at an Eisley concert (i f***ing rocked out to Pilotdrift, Ryan can attest)

Very, very true. The people I know who others consider to be 'goths' are some of the nicest around.

Well, maybe it's different elsewhere, but I live in a really small town (like barely over 1000 people) and every 'goth' I've seen around here is a dickhead to me for being a 'conformist' By conformist, they mean that I watch MTV (and don't lie, you do too if you catch it. Real World/Road Rules challenge has some of the coolest missions ever), listen to music that doesn't involve death and drugs, and so on.
The goths down here are all lumps of drug-addicted suicidal flesh with no purpose but to gain attention.
I know they aren't what most people consider goths, but they consider themselves goths...so I can't help but avoid people who wear dog chains and spikes and have pentagrams around their necks.

So, I don't pretend to like and accept goths..even though I should. I've never had a pleasant experience with one, and it will probably stay that way because I don't care enough to try and make friends with them when I can just easily walk up to some bright-color-wearing people and make friends.
Don't jump on me for it. At least I admit that I'm in the wrong, sorta.

It sounds like the little box you live in has 1000 people in it. Like I said before, leave town. There is obviously more to life than you know. FYI, just because you are scared of someone/something doesn't make them/it scary. You might consider saying that you are scared of them, rather than they are scary. The former is more true. If you don't want to talk to people in unusual clothing for some reason, that is no one's business, but if I were you I wouldn't advertise that prejudice. I hope you are making your generalizations about the so-called "goths" in your town based on personal experience. And, while I will not judge you based on the fact that you watch Mtv, I do not personally watch Mtv. Why would you think I would lie about that? That would be silly.
