i'm not straight edge... but drugs scare me. i've never done any drugs of any kind... i don't really have any good reason to, and i don't feel like i'm missing out on some amazing experience either. there are so many stories of people totally destroying themselves through drugs... all because they wanted to have fun or escape. seems like a huge price to pay for something that doesn't last and has terrible effects on you. guys! didn't you read your health books? the mushrooms are the WORST! but i have smelled pot smoke at a christian music festival, though. that was... interesting, to say the least. Jesus wept. |

And you're always at risk to get something laced with PCP. Mushrooms are a tricky little thing they are. Theres alot of factors that go into it being really fun and eye opening and being really bad and scary. You should not be sad or depressed when you take them, cus if not those thoughts will come out and you'll get into deep thought about it, which can be pretty bad. Its best to be in a good enviroment like your house or a place you are familiar with. And the most important thing is to do them with people you are comfortable with, friends that have done them before are always good. I have never done PCP so I would'nt know what its like but mushrooms are intense (colors crazy, walls look like they breathing, visual melting and the such) This lasts for about 8-10 hours so you have to be in for a long ride. Just be careful. If your afraid of your parents catching you, then I would say do not do them. Also I tried weed and mushrooms and I am not some low life junkie. you know, i've put a lot more thought into this in the past year than any other time in my life, probably because in that time i've made many more friends that frequently drink, "roll", and smoke pot. i used to think that maybe, just MAYBE i would think about doing it one time, but now i've come to the conclusion that i never will, for various reasons... 1)because of my faith. God gave me this body, and i intend to honor him with it, not abuse it. 2)i don't want to do some drug or have some wild experience that makes the rest of life look dull in comparison. basically, i don't ever want to think that i can't have fun without it because i know way too many people like that, and they're generally pretty miserable (and broke). i know not all drug users are like that and that a lot of people go through life just fine with an occasional high, but i've met too many that are to want to join them. anyway, those are my own reasons for not doing them. i apologize if anyone feels preached at or anything.
