this next album is probably gonna be lots of new stuff, in fact, it will be, i proclaim it, but don't be suprised if Head Against the Sky or something like it appears on it... Yeah but they are introducing themselves to the world so it makes sense that they put some oldies on there. Basically because I said so Carrie. Ha ha jk. In my opinion these songs needed to be heard by new fans. I'm dying for some new Eisley to but Memories, Marvy, Prepared, Sandra, and Lost at Sea could not be denied. They are some exquisite songs. I’m glad they got the attention they deserved. I have inkling however, that Head Against the Sky might be the next Telescope Eyes. I'm not talking in the sense of it being a sacrificial mercy song more in the sense of the band or the record label noticing it being well recieved on tour that it may be logical to give the public a well recorded release of it. Let's just hope they don't ask Chauntelle to rewrite any of it. But yeah. I don't like Head Against the Sky. Yeah but now they sound better now. I'd take the Room Noises version of each song over the Ep version any day. _________________ and iiiii can't live without you and i don't want to. i've done that all my life up til now.

Really? You can't tell the difference with Memories? Memories is soooo pumped up on Room Noises. The harmonies, everything. The EP version doesn't compare. Sometimes I'll listen to it and its like something is missing. I get all tense, waiting for it to climax and it just doesn't do it as well as the new one. And I agree, Telescope Eyes became worn out. 3 times was too much. Head Against The Sky has never been my favorite song either...but I'm interested in hearing some more recent live recordings of it. _________________ -Brooke |

Recording this song is just good for the band. Good to record, good to put a song out there... old or new isn't the issue really; most of you wouldn't have ever heard this song outside the last few tours. I don't know if it'll just be something to spend on itunes or be an xtra, or... possibly we sit on it, nobody hears it until the next record if it's important enough to save it. But I have no clue. Like i said, it's just good for the band to record. Too early to start thinking about a next record. It'll be next summer before they even begin really getting serious about writing and planning a record. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. All of you people complaining about preferring new songs to reworked oldies are ignoring a simple fact: the reworked ones sound better than ever. Period. TE has been served justice. The third version is what's best for it. The new "Memories" has become epic. I never liked IWP too much though ;P, but it did improve. "Head Against the Sky" has much potential, so i'm glad the band is embracing this opportunity. Eisley is a wonderful band signed to a major label. Look at the bigger picture. I'm sure they'll appreciate your understanding. |
