i agree. most of my favorite items are from thrift stores. it's great when you walk away with something designer for like four bucks when someone paid probably close to a hundred for at one point.

there are a lot of good thrift stores around here in SF or berkeley. although some can actually get more expensive than regular stores, totally defeating the purpose of a "thrift store." meh.

They have good stuff there. But the other day my mom went there, and the person that way helping her at the checkout was really really awful. Apparently it was her birthday and she didn't get it off, so she took it out on my mom.
