Posted: Sat Nov 22, 2003 7:12 am First, an explanation of this thread's title: Well, I just discovered Eisley the other day, and was extremely excited to find out that they are to play at Bogart's here in Cincinnati on Wednesday. I talked to a few forum members, and they were already graciously offering me rides. However, today I realized that my family has to leave for a Thanksgiving Day celebration at my brother's house in Chicago on Wednesday evening, so I won't be able to make it to the show... I was really looking forward to going, but that's the way things go sometimes. Hopefully they'll be coming through this area sometime next year, then I'll be able to make it. I suppose that one positive thing is that they'll probably have lots of new material to play by then, and will get to play a longer set too. Anyway, I just thought I'd share my sad little story. And now, a little note to Eisley I just wanted to let you guys and girls know that I'm very glad to have stumbled upon your music. It's encouraging to know that there are other teenagers and young adults out there who are making a strong effort at creating unique, intriguing music, as opposed to the polished garbage that the big corporations spit out to the naive masses. Being a musician myself (with many of the same influences), I'm impressed with how you're using your talents, and I'm excited to see what the future has to offer for you. Well, I've rambled on enough, so I'll close this up. Thanks again for the wonderful music, and I hope to see you at some point in time! Later, Ben |

Part 2> Well put Thanks. By the way, I didn't mean to sound so pathetic in part one, heh... I was just having an overall bad day yesterday, and finding out that I couldn't go to the show didn't help at all. I'm just glad to at least know about the band, as there will be plenty more opportunities to see them in the future. |

That's too bad you couldn't make it man, we could have hung out at the show. Maybe I can get an autograph for you and mail it to you. _________________ I think that it's brainless to assume that making changes to your window's view will give a new perspective.

If by some twist of fate you do get stuck in town, I recommend the following: a) go to the show anyway and look for scalpers - someone might sell you a ticket for only slightly above door price. b) check with alternate ticket agencies. Sometimes the primary ticket agency is sold out, but that's because someone else bought 20 tickets they are trying to unload. c) try your darndest to either find someone with an extra ticket or find some way to get on the guestlist. That's all I've got.... Cm _________________ Cameron aka truckpoetry.... That's her boyfriend. She's a confusing person. Just gotta get used to it. _________________ If the end of the world has proper noodles I'll probably be okay with it. |
