Sweet, I love the Chicagoist. I hope they have something a bit more positive to say after the show (I commented on that post to that effect).

I was gonna go tonight, but right now it would take a miracle of transportation/lodging/money to get me there in time. Have fun, you crazy kids.

Boyd probably wrote the Oliver thing.

I have a request for all of you Eisley loving fans. Please don't jump on this guy by replying to his review.

I see he ended up with a setlist. Too bad it didn't go to a deserving fan.
But, Boyd, and the band both said the show was great last night. They were so appreciative of the Chicago fans, and it doesn't really matter that this guy doesn't like them.

Anyway, that's my two cents Confused

Why do I get the feeling that Kevlarsjal may actually be "Tankboy"?

The reviewer is right... it is all about the fans. And the fans love this band, and some for reasons they can't even explain (me). Plus, the band does have room to grow, but I hope they don't stray to far from their sound.

P.S. Golly Sandra is a pretty sweet song... wtf is the problem! Very Happy

Golly Sandra, and a number of Eisley's songs, are dopey. That's part of why we love them. The band isn't concerned with how "cool" their music sounds, and because of that they hit gleeful, innocent emotional chords that few bands have the balls to reach for.

It's funny that the reviewer would mention Telescope Eyes as showing the band's maturity, though, since I and probably a lot of others think it was the weakest song on Room Noises, and the band is probably only playing it live at all because it's expected of them.

Boyd lots of times on tours will write something random on their set list to try and make them laugh when they look at it, or goof them up.

It's a dad thing.

It's rather cool,if you ask me. Why would the even want to read the same titles 500 times anyway? Nice job, Boyd. Smile
