i couldn't be a bit more stoked about the collaboration with bright eyes producer, mike mogis! i think he is, by far, one of the best producers in the land and always seems to create beautiful records without sacrificing the indie feel. i could not have chosen a better half for you guys to work with, even though i had no hand in the decision. i envy your opportunity to possibly be in the same room, hell, even the same city, as conor oberst. good luck and hurry back!

I think they made a great choice. The Bright Eyes record sounds great. I love it.

i thought i posted this before, but i wondered who is funding the sessions?

i've only heard mogis' work with the Gloria Record, and while i like a lot of Start Here, i' not sure i like all of the mixing choices

<A total guess from someone who doesn't know and isn't in the "biz">
Perhaps their management is, or I've heard sometimes a label that's really interested will give a band a budget to record a demo or something. But I honestly don't know.

I was listening to the '8 Teeth To Eat You' Cursive/Eastern Youth split EP last night and sort of doing my thang, glancing through the liner notes and whatnot, and all of a sudden: WAM POW! It turns out Mike Mogis produced all of Cursive's tracks on THAT TOO! And Cursive is yet another Saddle Creek band. Hmm. Interesting.

I'm EXTEREMELY STOKED about buying/rocking to this album, partly because Cursive is one of my all time favorites, partly because of my deep and undying love for Moss, but mostly because I'm bored and need some S to do.

OH, and to whomever cares, I get my PAID OFF and fully FIXED car back next week. Which means I'll be ghetto-blastin in yo neighborhood soon, bizznatch.

I miss Moss.

xoxo

Not to be rude but isn't that Moss's business?

yeah it probably is......but there's nothing wrong about a little curiosity
plus if boyd wanted us to know, then he would tell us. seeing the lack of an answer tells me that we don't need to know...

oh well

oh...we're independently wealthy....didn't we mention that? Yah, our single artist income family of bizzilian easily pays for more than dried noodles. No, seriously.... Nettwerk, initially. When a label comes on board, they'll recoup their losses and bleed the mothership. There you go.

mmk......don't let those fools take over publishing if possible....i read somewhere you had the Passman book.....that was actually a required text for a class of mine.....i'm sure these things are already swirling around your head......actually, i f you think about it.....these days one doesn't even need a label with the spread of the internet........maybe after you finish your contract(hopefully a short one) you can do everything yourself and not have to worry about recouping before you get any dough from the record co.
if this info is worthless just say "this info is worthless"
