i look at all the music at hot topic whenever i go in there, but EISLEY is the LAST cd that i would think they would have. i'm surprised. they have a good music selection. i get most of my CD's from there. _________________ pretend this is the best signature ever |

Usually I get a little bothered by stuff like that, you know? Like, I fear that the bands will get too huge and forget their roots.. but I'm totally not worried about that with Eisley. This band is incredibly grounded and pretty amazing. I doubt they'll fall into that .. you know... genre, I guess you could call it. Plus, I highly doubt that Kim and Boyd will let them act like "rock stars". _________________ You're just jealous 'cause we're young & in love. |

Hot Topic has a good music selection. yeah, it does...especially when i'm at home in good ol' middle-of-nowhere salisbury, md You don't have to like the store to admit the music selection is decent. _________________ my name's carrie and i love a good sandwich so if you have a sandwich, come roll with me!

(granpaturtle's comment above). yeah I know, I hate when people do that...something gets "too cool" to like anymore... for the record, Hot Topic sells Minor Threat, which is plenty of points in anyone's book and I buy like half my t-shirts (or have bought) at Hot Topic, my above statement was a joke.. _________________ welcome to the no pants club boone |

I've got this button that says, "I was uncool before uncool was cool." It's so uncool... Poetic Descent wrote: Usually I get a little bothered by stuff like that, you know? For me, when stuff like that happens, I don't so much worry about the band staying true, but about the image being distorted. Like people, say, seeing Eisley as a Hot Topic band, and people who hate Hot Topic might think they hate Eisley. I mean, the celebrities who get talked about generally don't get talked about for the good things they do. You do one good thing that gets you exposure, and then the world rags on you from there on. Do you remember on the old Eisley site in the band bio where they talked about the not getting sucked into the Star Machine? "You're not the star!" Yeah, that's all I remember... _________________ --Lin-- If I had something clever to say... Audioscrobbler lies the overcast |
