I just realised that Stacy always appears facing the crowd (at least, from all the videos I've seen). I don't know of any other band who has the keyboarder facing the stage. I think that deserves a cheer (unless I'm wrong about this) _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she? I never seen them sideways, just kind of... diagonal. It's weird, but I think it's to make space, because usually they aren't ALWAYS on the keyboard, they switch. _________________ my name's carrie and i love a good sandwich so if you have a sandwich, come roll with me! i'm gonna marry the mars volta. |

I think it might also be that when you have a real piano, people usually sit sideways. So maybe that's what keyboard people think about. That and the multi-instrument theory. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

If you have a real piano, sitting sidewayse makes sense, 'cos the piano is so big it would completely block the audience from seeing you. Also, if you have to switch between a guitar and piano often, then I think it's usually fine. I have seen many bands whose keyboardist faces the audience if they have something like a keyboard, rhodes, or stage piano. |

like, the motion city soundtrack keyboardist is a frontman and works the crowd. socratic? their keyboardist does too, he's amazing and sings too. yeah but like grand pianos, like elton john or what not. yeah, those make sense to face sideways. _________________ May 7, 2008: Last visit: Tue Aug 07, 2007 10:57 pm myspace.com/juddortiz |

Jonathan from Waking Ashland does the diagonal thing which is a habit started when they had to do a series of acoustic shows I think. He only play the keys though so I think he should be straight forward personally. My friend Josh goes straight out towards the audience and always has. I think since he only plays keys and is the vocalist it makes sense for him to be front and center facing the audience, _________________ "I ask none to live for me, nor do I live for any others.
