Actually, those song titles represent some demos Stacy did post 'Room Noises' that will probably be swept up into the abyss never to be heard (mostly).

Homeschool and the cover of Lion's Mane are the cutest songs.

As I understand it, most or all of those (um, minus the video) have not been released or given to anyone, and it was a bit frustrating for them to see they had gotten out somehow. That's what Thomas told me a while back. If they were playing it on mix cds between sets, maybe a copy got taken somewhere.

And for those confused, www.last.fm essentially is a way for you to track the music you listen to. You download a plugin for your media player, and it reports all the songs/artists you listen to, provides weekly charts, and music recommendations. You can stream some of the more popular music, if it's available on their site. Independent recordings obviously aren't available. (It doesn't upload the songs you listen to, just reports the names).

So here's another way to look at it:

People could simply change the tag information on any mp3, play it, and it will report the way it is. Anybody could do it, and that's sad.

Also, one of the few people who "listen" to Stacy actually roleplays her in a GreatestJournal (where people get a rise out of pretending to blog as celebrities and have tons of celebrity friends. sad, really.).

yeah that's what i was about to say. it doesnt necessarily mean anyone REALLY has those songs Rolling Eyes they could just name any file that. and besides, you guys know how limewire and all those programs are too. sometimes, when you download something by a certain artist, you don't get that certain artist because someone has incorrectly named it, whether by accident or to be mean.

Well wouldn't someone have to know the titles initially?
Cause those are the correct titles.

Well, yes.
But it seems people know the correct titles anyway.
(I for one, do not.)

acquiring titles is quite easy. like i just did in three seconds from lastfm.com where all the titles are listed http://www.last.fm/music/Stacy+DuPree

Mastermind
Homeschool
Hooks
Lion's Mane
Robe Caves and Winter
Mile Away
Savin Lives
Lanterns
Quaking Earth
Sudden Sound
We Had Voices
Write Well
Just Believe Me
lions mane {this looks like a duplicate name}
Stacky Movie

alright, so whoever has said they know the song(s) may only know just the title. and that's fine becuase it is the internet provides people with vast opportunites for deceit.

i think that now it has been determined that those who have the songs won't give out copies (and for good reason) and we all can share in the titles, so now we can go about our merry way.

i believe they meant the person would have to know the titles initially, as in... before anyone could even get them up on lastfm, they'd have to know the names of the songs.

well, according to last.fm, 15 people who had recently listened to Stacy DuPree, the band Eisley is the only one listed who had recently listened to her tracks. Does Eisley actually run their last FM? Cause if so, that would make sense.

And Weston, Jonathan, and Sherri have at least one track up, and their profiles say "Eisley" has listened to their tracks.
