i know this is somethig i should send to boyd via pm. But, i think some of you lovely people can help as well. Any new word on the new version of the iwp video? I know the one on myspace was thrown back in the makers faces by the band, or something like that. So, any updates with a new and improved version? Thanks a bunch folks! _________________ "I should have listened to my friends" www.myspace.com/georgeproject www.purevolume.com/jesusworshiper |

At this point, I think the answer is, we don't have an answer. As far as the video being "thrown back into the maker's face"....there are mixed feelings all around about this video. I think for the band, artistically there were things they thought and hoped for that did not happen due to time crunches. They really loved so much about the video, and had high expectations of how it would turn out. There were miscommunications, personal feelings (on both sides), that were unintentionally hurt, and mixed feelings on how it all ended up. Maybe I'm "less artistic", but I thought the video was cool. I don't want to open that whole discussion again, but it did stay up as number one on myspace for a good bit. The video is what it is. The band is grateful to Marvin, and all who worked on it. Maybe they didn't get everything they had hoped for from it, but, it is a good video with a great song, so controversy aside....I guess we all will see where it goes from here. |

its all part of growth. i mean...its early days with the video thing.. at least they aren't going for the *just performing* thing. i mean...marvelous things had sub-plot about sherri's knees killing people... telescope eyes had the stand up to your fears one.. i wasn't prepared had dave...that was the lucky one.. but think about radiiohead. some of there earlier videos...them performing. i'm thinking of one in particular...not sure which, think its off pablo honey. but anyway. eisley are doing something creative with videos already. i just hope this will lead to street spirit style videos *drools* |

I like that they went outside of their "image." I'm sure they can get a bit tired of everyone wanting trees, vegetation and green stuff out of them. I know they're a lot more diverse than that. So hopefully it was at least stretching their boundaries with people's perceptions of them, if nothing else. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
