...since i've come on here and thought of this as eisley's forum. i think as the next album draws closer i'll think of it as theirs more.

anybody else feel that way?

(Chugs orange mango juice in silent agreeance, nodding head to the beat of a thousand of her tired and sweaty gorpleznomonplia-'bots twisting and cranking and droning about their lives)

Ummmm... This is Eisley's Forum... Confused

*or is this thread suppose to be some sarcastic response to some other threads going on in these forums lately?

when i first joined here and for a long time this was an eisley forum

now it just seems like A forum.

i don't really know how to explain it other than that.

Hmmm. More members posting about random stuff, instead of stuff directly related to Eisley? Newer album attracts newer fans, who in turn, join Laughing City, adding to the member count, and random posts?

yeah that's some of the reasons. nothing wrong with those new people, and new posts though.

I get what you mean.
It's so big... which is awesome for Eisley!
I'm glad they have this many fans, and this much exposure. The forum is a great way to hook people 'cos it's a real active forum, which in itself is appealing.

But it definetly right now feels like just a forum lots of the time. I think once more stuff with the album starts happening, it will change that some.

it's also on a personal level, not because of it being too crowded here.

IMO, the true Eisley forum is a live Eisley show.

Not only are you in the same room with several/many/gajillion (depending on the show) Eisley fans, Eisley, Boyd, and sometimes even Kim, Christie, and other Dupree family members are there. Discuss Eisley with Boyd directly, or just talk about random stuff with other Eisley fans.

And more likely not to have some totally random things being said by people who don't have the anonimity of the Internet to hide behind.

It feels a little less Eisley now that the journals are separate too, i think.

yeah it does kinda feel more like just A forum more than Eisley's forum... and I think it's what McKenzies mentioned with the journals being posted separately... because I'm lazy and I just like the change the forum number in the url...like 7 is general, 8 is eisley, 5 is music... but now...i have to click on the journals button...go through all of the journals to see who's updated...when before you would know at just a glance...yeah i'm really lazy haha.

I can honestly say that this forum is unlike any other i have ever been on. On some other band forums im on. Lets take green day for instance, they topics are always "BILLIE JOE IS SOOO FREAKIN SEXY!" or "BILLIE, MARRY ME!". This forum however is different. Im glad i can come here and read interesting things about what fans of this amazing band has to say. I can say that.

We don't have the "Marry me" threads anymore 'cause Sherri's engaged, Stacy's 17, Chauntelle has been rumoured to be guitarist by day, wildebeast potato-seductress by night, Garron has cooties(also, his bass is a rifle and he shoots it freely), and Weston? Weston has tried to marry some of the girls and boys who have requested his hand in holy matrimony, but he either sits on them in his absent-mindedness, or his back breaks from hunching over to kiss the person all the time.

Otherwise we'd be swarmed with those worthless threads
