Sorry, I'm going to see Shiny Toy Guns on the 8th. _________________ Power is only pain It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in. I'm going to the Minneapolis show. With a surprising number of friends expressing interest in attending, I might need to buy more tickets. I saw Charlotte Martin at the Varsity on Wednesday, which was my first concert there. If you haven't seen it, it's an old movie theater in Dinkytown that has been converted--fairly recently, I think--into a music venue. The Varsity has been furnished in the style of an old, funky hotel or perhaps a well-worn gentleman's club. It has overstuffed sofas, tables of various sizes, and even a couple of "beds" for reclining. All concerts there would have to be general admission which is okay if there aren't too many people. We got there near the end of the warm-up act's performance but still were able to sit ~20' from Charlotte Martin. The Eisley tour bill lists the capacity of the Varsity at 350. There were nowhere near that many seats on Wednesday, but an employee told me that the seating can be reconfigured for different concerts. The Varsity has good acoustics and sight lines so, since I've only seen Eisley in larger halls, I'm really looking forward to their show there. _________________ Sing again, with your dear voice revealing A tone Of some world far from ours, Where music and moonlight and feeling Are one. --Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792–1822) |

That's what I was thinking, this show would sell out pretty fast with only 350 capacity. Especially since its the closest show for many people even up to 5 or 6 hours away. (glad I bought my tickets early.) _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

whew, good. i have a lot of friends who are going also. which was kind of surprising, because no one i knew went to the show last year. i've heard about the varsity but i've never actually been there. it seems like a cool place. the shows i generally go to usually end up being in the ascot room at the quest. |

I really want to go (and had been making plans to), but moving back home and starting my new job is going to make too hard to trek out to Minneapolis this time around. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

Due to additional seats needed by friends, tonight I was able to buy more tickets for the Minneapolis Varsity show, so it isn't sold out yet. _________________ Sing again, with your dear voice revealing A tone Of some world far from ours, Where music and moonlight and feeling Are one. --Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792–1822) |
