uhh...well...I can start it off for you, I guess. I think, if I hear it right the song's in 6/8...so here's the lyrics with the beat of the measure they correspond to... I awoke the dawn, saw horses growing out the lawn 1.3.4......6....1........6...1....3....4....6....1....3....4 ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah (repeat) 1...2...3..4...5...6...1..2..3...4 I glimpsed a bat with butterfly wings 1..4.........6..1....3....4.......6...1 Oh what marvelous things .3....4.....1.......3....4 Ahs..... That would take like an hour to completely write it out, maybe that's a good enough start for you..heh _________________ I'll never be cool enough

just sit somewhere with large crowds of people, put your headphones on and start saying "ONE-two-three-FOUR-five-six" over and over really really loud with the beat of the music. if you don't remember the time, at least you'll remember the experience. _________________ "drunk one night I put my car key in my house door lock, and my natural reaction was to take it for a spin. Where do you live?', so I answered 'right here, now get the hell off of my driveway.'" --------------------------- http://www.bmielkephoto.com |

ecpesnel wrote: thanks i meant to say for the chorus.... Totally saw that coming...yeah that's a bit more difficult... The first 'and' is definitely on 6, and goes into the next measure for a count, or a count and a half, I'm unsure...Cuz 'sleep' is a hard one too. The emphasis on 'sleep' in on 4, but it starts sooner, maybe 2 1/2. 'Tight' is one 1 of the next measure. 'My' is gonna be on 6, and I have 'bay' starting on 3 with the emphasis on 4 with 'by' on 1 of the next measure...'Mor' is on 1, 'ning' is on 3, 'light' is on 1, 'shall' is on 6, 'burst' is difficult 2 or 2 1/2 is when is starts, and the emphasis being on 4, 'bright' is on 1, 'and' is on 6, 'keep' is another difficult one, starts at about 2 or so, emphasis on 4, 'us' is on 1, 'here' on 6, 'safe' starts about 2, emphasis on 4, and 'ly' on 1 of the next one............................. lol, yeah that's a difficult syncopation. I hope that helps a little...The hard parts are those words that are difficult to figure out where they start, sleep, baby, burst, keep, safely...They all start out on an A and slur up to a B, and 'keep' actually slurs back down to an A and stays an the A for 'us'.........haha, as for the beat, they pretty much all start around 2, and emphasize on the 4... Transcribing that seems ridiculous, have fun. _________________ I'll never be cool enough
