Interesting take on that... I don't think they've "forgotten" their "original eisley sound". I don't see them asking each other "Hey, what is our 'sound' again?". They've grown and moved on and are taking things in a different direction. It still sounds like Eisley to me. yea, and besides the "orginal" sound are songs like pretender. if by original you mean older songs. |

All bands grow. I think it is refreshing to hear new stuff in general, but I was happy with what I heard in the new songs. A band that doesn't explore new sounds tend to become boring. I respect your opinion about what you think about the songs...but I say, give it some time. They may grow on you! _________________ Poor Writer is my hero. |

(i like the song) You know, I can see where eisleylover53 is coming from but BNROCKS makes a good point. The magical/weird/eerie/ethereal/however you decribe it sound is what attracted me to Eisley, but if we got 5 more "Over the Mountain" then we would be complaining about that probably (not because it's a bad song, but because of not evolving) plus who knows what changes might be made by the time the songs actually get recorded. I think when the songs are officially released to the public, they will be still unmistakably Eisley, if not already. |

Whoa, this song just shows how much Eisley has grown as artists. I don't know, just by watching that video and hearing how much they've matured in song writing blows me away. I don't think of this song as having an "everywhere else" sound to it at all... it still has that honest vulnerability in it that Eisley seems to contain in every song of theirs. That was the attribute about this band that really attracted me to their music. So I'm really digging Taking Control-- it's loveliness to my ears. _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me.
