indeed, what does it matter what percentage of the forum, or Eisley listenters, is gay?

Being gay is a weird trend for kids around here it seems. Just like being vegetarian.

I don't think more people are "deciding" to be gay, I think more people are deciding to come out because it's being more accepted in society.

The person who started this thread is new to the forum. They probably wanted to know if they were alone in that respect or just in the minority.

...i almost had the same question with this thread purple 'ead..but i saw it as mimsy did, just an honest and innocent look into the makeup of the forum..no kind of labeling or discrimination or anything

I agree, I think the thread starter was just curious. It wasn't made in an offensive way. It's like asking how many guys or girls are on the forum, or the ages of fans. Just something to wonder about.

But I must say (unrelated to what I just quoted)... I'm kind of shocked at how quickly a harmless thread went into something it didn't need to be.

I think the person who said whatever about under 16 year olds being allowed to be gay, is that these days, I also notice... it is kind of becoming a "trend" for people to be bisexual... I've seen it, more with guys than girls. I don't think they meant it for people who actually are born that way to just "hold it off". I think they meant it because some teenagers are pretending it just to be scene or emo or whatever and it's annoying.

yeah, if they meant it in that way, that whole boys kissing nonsense, you know, then they have a right to their opinion..but it boils down to the fact that you have to let people do what they want, it's not harming you, so get over it. if a boy wants to kiss another boy, even if he's just trying to fit in, then who are you to say he can't. that'd be an absurd rule.

I agree, but I don't think they meant it in a literal way... I think they meant it as another way of saying, "It's annoying when people are doing things to be cool"

I must disagree with the harming statement. Seeing Burt McKracken or however you spell it (the singer from the Used) kissing any guy is enough to send shivers down my spine.
