Filter is doing a thing where they ask various artists what their favorite albums of 2006 are, and they asked Eisley! Filter's Top 10 of 2006, Day Twelve: Eisley by Staff | 12.12.2006 Young Texan scamps Eisley are here to let us curmudgeonly old music fans know what the youth of today are listening to. When not being romanced by the lead singers of emo bands, Eisley have spent much of the year far from their home in Tyler, TX recording their second album in Malibu with producer Richard Gibbs of Oingo Boingo. Here’s Eisley’s collaborative picks for the best albums of the year: Eisley: 1. New Found Glory, Coming Home (Geffen) 2. Jeremy Enigk, World Waits (Lewis Hollow) 3. Kashmir, No Balance Palace (BMG) 4. Midlake, The Trials of Van Occupanther (Bella Union) 5. The Decemberists, The Crane Wife (Capitol) 6. Taking Back Sunday, Louder Now (Warner Bros / Wea) 7. Sparklehorse, Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain (Astralwerks) 8. Sean Lennon, Friendly Fire (Capitol) 9. Thom Yorke, The Eraser (Xl Recordings) 10. Beyonce, B Day (Sony) http://www.filter-mag.com/news/interior.3724.html _________________ |

Thanks for the text/link! And nice list! I didn't even know Sean Lennon had a new album out this year. I was a bit surprised to see Beyonce, but only because it's the one album/group they haven't mentioned before in their journals. It is a good album, I'd pick it up if the girl herself didn't annoy me. That's the awesome thing about Eisley, the list is quite diverse. Reflects the diversity of their music (compared to some other groups). |

I don't know, Paste's cover feels more arty. _________________ Power is only pain It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in.
