Salutations. I'm new at the Eisley forum (a shocking revelation, to be sure), but not new to Eisley fandom. I heard them at Cornerstone Festival (which I have attended faithfully for half of my lifetime) in, I believe, 2002... back when they were Moss Eisley.
Every year at Cornerstone I make it a point to "discover" at least one new band. So I was looking at ye ole New Band Showcase schedual and I saw the name "Moss Eisley," and I was like "Cool! Star Wars fans!" (What? Nerd? Who's a nerd?! Certainly not I. Wink ) So I decided right off that they were the new band I was going to go sample. So yeah, they played the New Band Showcase and I believe they also played the Impromptu Stage a couple of times. My siblings and a bunch of our friends were running around saying "Have you heard that new band Moss Eisley? They're gonna play again, you have to go see them!"
Later I went by their booth and bought a patch. (I didn't buy the cd because I'm poor and two of my sibs bought it anyway so I could just borrow theirs.) One of the DuPree girls was standing there explaining to some one how they might have to change their name because of copyright infringement or some such thing, and I told her I just had to buy at least a patch, else I would feel really stupid when they get big in a couple of years. I didn't intend it as empty flattery, I was totally serious... and voila, now they're up-and-coming! Very Happy My sibs and I called it. We are so good.
...and may I just say that I was SO EXCITED when I saw them on the Windows Media Player feature the other day!!! I ran down the hall and jubilantly announced the fact to my friends. They were happy for me and all but, as usual, had no actual comprehension of what I was so gleeful about. It's all right. They shall be educated. Twisted Evil *evil cackle*

Likewise I envy your position. I never get to see them because I live in the middle of nowhere part of the year and go to school in the upper right corner of nowhere the rest of the year. I have a hall-mate who's an Air Force brat and if probably moving to Texas next summer. I shall command her to go sample the delights of an Eisley experience... and take lots of pictures for me. Smile

Hi my name is Jono. I just registered today. I wish I could say I'm a true fan...but I can't. I don't even have one of their eps. however I plan to go get one tomorrow. I saw that best buy might have one. It would be my luck that they don't carry it...or they ran out. but anyway, I just came in to say hello.

hello.

Hello, all. I discovered Eisley on January 17th, early in the morning as I was perusing the flash intro at music.msn.com and saw a pic of them. I clicked the link, watched the movie and fell in love with their "Marvelous Things" video. I've seen it roughly 20 times since yesterday, lol. What entranced me the most was the way that Sherri was working the mike with her mouth. She was really getting into it, and I could tell that she was putting forth a lot of her emotion into the song. She wasn't half-assing it, and I can really appreciate that. It was obvious that the director of the video saw this as well, because he featured her mike work quite a bit.

The other thing that captivated me was Stacy's vocals. The sing-song almost ethereal voice kept me hooked. Even now I have the chorus flittering through my mind. I can't believe that Stacy is only fourteen years old. She has a maturity about her that belies her age. Overall, I'm really impressed with the group. I've been waiting and searching for something fresh and new, and Eisley appears to be it. I'm very pleased to have found my way here, and I hope that I can contribute signifigantly here.

I could have sworn Stacy was at least 18 years old, lol. She's going to be quite the looker when she gets older.
