http://living.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=528182007 A nice review including this: "He does have a strong coterie of collaborators to support him, and even lend musical coherence to his utterances. Lovely though his bandmate Nate Walcott's string arrangements are, the most consistently beguiling feature of the album is the backing of a siren-like vocal quartet: sisters Stacey and Sherri DuPree of indie band Eisley, Z Berg of rocking girl trio The Like, and Chicago-based solo artist Rachael Yamagata. They grace a number of tracks, including Make a Plan to Love Me, a sweet, bewitching pastoral gospel suffused with simple, yearning sentiment which builds into something close to a girl-group torch song." |

That's a pretty cool mention, nevertheless. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

(Also, a lot of performers keep maiden names professionally for many reasons.) But since I seriously doubt that the marriage has found its way into press kits yet, I wouldn't expect most things of things nature to reflect a change at this time. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

That (oh!) made me think she chose to keep the name. But, maybe it really means she was excited or unused to it. _________________ "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed." prov 16:3 |

Oh yeah, I have no doubt that she is Sherri Gilbert in private and in person. I am just curious if she's keeping DuPree as a stage name. And since none of that has been made official, the press has free reign to call her DuPree. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I seriously doubt that she'll ever entirely be Sherri Gilbert to the press. I'm sure if she was in a band that entirely was full of different last names it'd change, but it's so much easier for the press to keep the band as, "The Duprees" And while I'm sure some articles will feature her as Sherri Gilbert, a lot will probably keep it as Dupree. _________________ my name's carrie and i love a good sandwich so if you have a sandwich, come roll with me!
