The website just says something about flash photography. I'm really tired of having my camera taken away from me because it's an SLR, and therefore a "professional" camera. I usually call ahead to try to find out. Or you can e-mail, too. I've had a couple of venues respond to e-mail. But you need to start days ahead of time, or they may not respond in time. It might help to tell them that Eisley allows all stiill cameras. Usually it's not an issue for Eisley, as long as the venue follows their wishes. (This excludes the evil House of Blues.) I think it's funny that venues don't allow SLRs, but they allow point and shoots that record sound, video, and are more likely to make the venue look crappy. And it's more likely that people are going to use very annoying flashes with those, too. The most SLRs do is flash. Thanks Jamie. I think I'll try e-mailing them first, since it's still over a month before the show. Yeah, I think it is stupid that most venues don't allow SLRs. An average person with a point and shoot camera probably leaves it in automatic and doesn't turn off the flash. While with my SLR, I am usually shooting in manual modes where the flash doesn't fire unless you tell it to. And besides, I'm a student, it's not like I'm going to sell the photos I take or anything. I'm just taking them for myself and to get practice. _________________ car.o.lyn And I swear in that moment we were infinite BLOG l FLICKR |

Bitter hi-five, buddy. nothing like a bitter high-five. i have tickets. but i might be in montreal at that time. so i might have to sell them incase anyone couldnt get tickets but would be willing to buy them from me. and also cut off their left leg. a small price for something so great. _________________ thats why you don't leave the air conditioner on. |

That's crazy it sold out so fast. Though I guess not, with such a small capacity. I ordered tickets too, but no email. I wasn't concerned, but now I am...Did they give a reason for the lack of email confirmation? Either way, I still can't find any takers, so its not 100% that i'm going...So i might be in the same boat of having to sell them later...We'll see... |
