Anyone else going to the Austin show at The Parish? I bought a ticket this evening for myself, and then I bought another one about five minutes later because I realized that it is my friend's birthday tomorrow (or today now, I guess). its the wieridest thing. i called to ask about their photography/video policy, so im asking the 411 guy "i need a listing for the parish on 6th street" (or wherever) and hes like yeaaa, i dont think that exists. |

It does. I was downtown at a club and ended up walking around 6th Street like...two weeks ago looking for a cop (my car got hit) and saw the place myself. Kansas isn't that bad...well Kansas is, Missouri is where it's at. (I live right on the line of mo and ks and I've lived in Missouri my whole life so I'm a little biased) What part of Kansas are you heading to? |

That and the website is still very much up and running. it exists, don't worry. i was just there last thursday! it's an upstairs place, near 6th and brazos, and the entrance is squeezed between a couple restaurants so it's kinda easy to miss if you're not careful. also, it ROCKS, i love that venue. i think ... i might ... maybe, go. i dunno. it's too far in advance for me to say and my life has been pretty dang unpredictable even in the past day. but hopefully! _________________ Facebook & Twitter & Blog(ish)-type thing |

I miiight be going. I'm from the Dallas area but visiting friends in Austin around that time, so it all depends on whether the trip's gonna be the 1st or 2nd week of August, still undecided... I already bought tickets for the Dallas one though, so either way I'll guess catch one or the other! I can't believe some people have that kind dedication, driving all the way to Austin to catch a band! I mean I love Eisley, but I haaate long car trips... it's kinda hard to tell which one outweighs the other!

So I went to request off for that night at work today.. A LOT of people have asked for that day off. :\ I wrote that I could open and not close. Hopefully I get it, otherwise I'll be scrambling to switch shifts right before the show. |
