Who is the dumb arse that decided putting partial songs up on myspace was a good idea?

What are you talking about Jon? Are you just mad because you are not in Eisley anymore?

Well, I will thank him for that part... It is awfully nice of the fella.

We did get a full song. We got Invasion. Most bands have one single before an album is released and that's it. We're lucky, if anything, that we got two one minute clips.

Hey! At least I don't go around cutting songs into little pieces like they are pie or something!

I mean really... Is the record label so greedy that they can only share a little bit of each song with the public? I mean the only reason they would do this is because it is profitable on their end. Don't tell me that there is someone who actually enjoys listening to thirty seconds of each song.

I am not trying to get anyone pissed off or be disrespectful.

Well, there are 10 songs on the album. That would be completely spoiling 30 percent of the album before it's even out. The idea of a band MySpace in general is to promote the album (and/or band) and to make you want to buy it. Clips are a pretty common practice. One full song, and a peak at what the rest sounds like. One-minute clips beat the heck out of the common 30-second ones.

*coughs* well....i hate to break it to you, but um actually i enjoyed listening to the clips. and i assume i am someone. i mean sure almost everyone here would LOVE to hear the whole songs...but we know we don't have the power to get that at the moment, so we deal. i think we all know that the CD will be out in about a month, and realize that we can wait that long.

and to the "cutting songs into little pieces like they are pie or something"....it's their myspace, they can do what the please. they dont have to put a whole song on there because you want it to be there. if they wanted to do what YOU or any other person wanted them to do, they would just let you/that other person run it for them.

so like nora said...dont be greedy. be happy you got something. not that many bands would even put those clips up for their fans.

hope that didnt come across too rude...

Should I repeat myself again? DON 'T BE SO GREEDY. And they are one minute clips for your information. Razz Which I did enjoy quite a bit and don't mind at all that they are only clips. And what Jamie said, there are only 10 songs so giving out three full songs from the album is just spoiling it.

Yeah, I guess maybe I should start looking at Eisley like a business.

I am just not used to bands that do this with their music on myspace... I was a little excited when I saw new songs up. I started getting into them, and then BAM, they were over.

It sounds like this is just what bands on labels like this do...

Anyways...

I LOVE YOU EISLEY!!!

Yeah. They're not exactly rolling in money ... so it's unwise of them to share too much. As nice as that would be. Though it wouldn't hurt to maybe put "clip" on the titles, possibly.

And as I understand it, the whole family basically puts their time and energy into getting this band to work... So the band basically supports them all. Correct?
