Just Eisley so they can have a super long set. Or Wesley Jensen. I want to see him live.

i thought maybe you'd want adam brody to sit there for a while. he didnt really have to sing. then eisley could come if they wanted to. but they didnt really have to is adam was there. Wink

Just replace ZACHARY QUINTO with Brendan Ekstrom and it'll all be sweet.

with eisley as the headliner? hm....there're a lot of bands I would like to see Eisley with (rilo kiley, bright eyes, bjork) but Eisley'd be opening for them.

Camera Obscura would be a great band to open for them. Maybe the Ditty Bops. It'd be insane to see then with the Go! Team or The Kills or The Raveonettes. There're a lot of great bands to tour with out there. It's all about timing.

no band has ever bored me as much as them when i saw them open for the Lips. Needless to say, there was a massive contrast in the bands. Laughing

I'd love to see Duke Special support them. Maybe Jim Noir, too.

I want this local band Built For The Sea to play with them. I love the vocals of both bands. And Day One Symphony too just because they're cool. Very Happy

I like shows like that though. I hate seeing two bands that're so close alike. Eisley's great and picking opening bands/bands to tour with though (except that whole NFG thing).

Copeland...

Others that may not be bad? Laura Veirs (with full band)...And I would have to agree with the Camera Obscura or the Ditty Bops.

AND..... Famiy Force5. Why? Because I just heard one song by them, and simply so they can have some corny tour name like "It's a Family Affair" tour Laughing

nonono. The Flaming Lips are so "woah!" that you can't compare them to anyone. Apart from Telapathic Surgery/Here it Is is sort of Nirvana-like in the whole grunge thing, they're so crazily unique and mental that it's impossible to find a comparitive band. I'm not comparing The Go Team to The Lips at all. (indeed, they weren't announced as the support: we just saw the setlist attached to a speaker and thought "aw, wow! it'll be good to check 'em out".). i found The Go! Team to be mediocre at best. The amusement of having two drummers wore off after two songs. And her dancing and voice were both somewhat below par. I've never been so bored at a gig.

I like bands to be of similar styles, if not genre. Thomas Truax supporting Duke Special was AMAZING, because they're both crazy. Duke Special has a drummer who plays the cheesegrater and whisk. He himself uses a radio during the set (a working one). Thomas Truax is on his own but creates a wall of sound through his various self-constructed instruments. In that way, they're both mental... but they play different kinds of music.

Among bands that could be plausible, I'd like to see Eisley with:

MIDLAKE
Pilotdrift (again!)
The Concretes!!
The Ditty Bops
Camera Obscura (though it's really late in the album cycle)
Jeremy Enigk (I know they'd love that one)
