it seems that this album is more guitar driven. It also seems that the lyrics aren't as...make-believish. I could be wrong. I've only heard little tiny clips. Neither of those things are necessarily bad things. I was just saying what I thought. What do you guys think about the record from what you've heard so far? |

Well, Sherri said herself, that she didn't do much with the fairy-tale lyrics because she had stuff that she wanted to say. And the guitar-driven bit. That makes me happy. Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands and I can definitely hear the influence. Needless to say, the 14th is going to be a fantastic day. _________________ Thistledown |

Lyrics are about the same, good and bad. You think some of the lyrics are bad?? I think, from what I've heard, this album is going to be incredible. Why should Eisley have to stay exactly the same as Room Noises? The worst thing a band could do is put out the same album twice. _________________ www.allisongill.net www.myspace.com/silverbugs www.last.fm/users/allisoncostello www.imahuman.tumblr.com www.isitreallysostrange.wordpress.com [i spend too much time on the internet, apparently.] |

'Combinations' will make 'Room Noises' sound like crap. It will be 1000 times better. (And I love 'Room Noises'.) _________________ http://apturnofftheradio.blogspot.com |

i can already tell that i'm going to absolutely love this new record! while i thoroughly enjoy room noises (the lyrics and melodies are really inspiring to me and so innocent and i like that), but hearing how much their music has matured is awesome! i love fairy-tale stories put to song, but i like that they've matured and have gotten to say what they want to say on this album. i can't wait! |

To the thread maker: Very astute observation. The guitars are more prominent, but also the other instruments. The production is so much more fitting this time, and especially the mix. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

It's going to be interesting to see what exactly Sherri wants to say. I personally thought they were saying things through their other songs, too, but in a more hidden way. I agree that a band shouldn't put the same album out twice. To me, every Eisley CD or EP I hear is just a bit different from the last, so it's only natural that this one would follow. I think they're maturing, too. I am so excited! _________________ No one sensible believes in ghosts anyway- that's because they're all such liars. |

Yes, the Fleetwood Mac influence is much exciting. I was an odd child who at 8 declared Fleetwood Mac a favorite and Stevie Nicks my hero. Mr. Pine is actually what made me love Eisley since it reminded me very much of Fleetwood Mac. I'm soo happy they've gone into the direction they're going in. Very excited to hear Combinations as a while. Quote: Well, Sherri said herself, that she didn't do much with the fairy-tale lyrics because she had stuff that she wanted to say. Lyrics are about the same, good and bad. Seriously? The melodies on the songs I've heard seem much more inspired, in my opinion. Come Clean, Invasion, even Ten Cent Blues... the driving melodies in those songs seem very inspired, to me. |

Hopefully the preorder will come in 5 days... then I can scream like a giddy school girl. _________________ I know how I was born and I know that I have no choice. I know it may not show on the color of my skin, but I know it’s in my heart and in my soul. –Sara Quin |
