How cool would it be if Eisley and WB worked out something with Apple so that Ten Cent Blues sold for only $0.10. (Of course, with a 10 song album, this would also change the album price to $9.01.)

you can probably just buy it for 99 cents

Don't count on it. most bonus tracks on there are "Album Only" which really sucks.

Well, sometimes if you wait it out a while some of the "Album Only" bonus tracks eventually are available for individual sale.

I know that the last Andrew Bird album released on iTunes with a bonus, and it was "album only". I think I waited around about a month after it had released, and I was able to purchase it for 99 cents. Maybe the same thing will happen with Eisley?

Either way, I am sure that any additional tracks will be easily available to everyone at some point.

sometimes, if you see the album when it's first added, you can get it seperate too. Since I am affiliated with iTunes, I can access their new releases at 10pm CST on Monday. If I remember, I'll try to get a link on here for any of you people who want it from itunes asap.

do you think it'll be okay to share the bonus tracks on this forum? I know people were sharing bonus tracks on Rooney and Lifehouse official forums. If not, oh well... it was worth asking.

If you're sharing a link for us to go and buy it I don't think there would be a problem.

If this exclusive and the absolutepunk exclusive end up being MKD and LTA, then I hope LTA is the streaming one. I can live without Marsh King's Daughter.

Right, well i meant so that we didn't have to buy them (a link to download them for free). Those who bought the CD from WB may not want to buy it from iTunes just to get the bonus track. (Exactly why I hate exclusives. Rolling Eyes )

If we can't thats fine... just thought we might be able to since some other official forums do it. and I know absolutepunk forums has a b-sides thread where people can share b-sides "legally" for free as long as the artist doesn't contact them and tell them they don't want their stuff there.

she's implying the truth... lol. I don't know very many people who wouldn't share b-sides/bonus tracks... and anyone who wouldn't, i don't like them because they are just supporting it. I hate bonus tracks... just release a b-side album or ep. That's more money that trying to get people to buy more than 1 copy of an album they already have. Thankfully with Eisley, they have a regular and special editions so i'd be willing to buy both if I HAVE to... anyways...

*fixed the gender issue... lol*

Haha! Ohh man, I wasn't implying anything illicit (but I know you were joking)!

Eisley has been pretty great about releasing eps over itunes with unreleased and live tracks...so...there is always that...

and you get DRM filled, highly compressed tracks.

iTunes actually offers DRM-free music now. But that's just for EMI artists because EMI is the only co. that has agreed to it. Unfortunately, Eisley isn't under EMI. Sad

That's true... but I don't think we want Eisley to be under EMI cause they suck... with the exception of their DRM-free music. The DRM tracks aren't compressed enough for me to tell any difference though. So I could care less as long as it's 128kbps or higher.

I was listening to a 320kbs rip in my car today and I could definitely tell it was still weak sonically. But, that's probably because I normally use a flat EQ, =)

well if the song is originally 128, burning it and ripping it back at a higher bitrate only increases the filesize.. i'll use the term somebody used to me "once you cut the strings, you can't put them back".. ripping at 320 if it's less to begin with would be pointless. lol
