Yeah, I know what you mean. That's because of how the light is hitting it. It's easier to tell that it's a regular silver in pictures...

Do you happen to know what year the guitar is? It looks very similar to the 1962 reissue, so I'm assuming its somewhere from the early '60s.

No, I don't know. I'm not sure where people got the vintage idea, though... Confused I haven't seen Boyd say anything about it being an old Gretsch--I just assumed it was a newer one. If indeed I'm wrong, I stand corrected. In that case, it'd probably be from the early '60s like you said, but we'll have to wait and see...

Here is where I get the vintage idea:

"She's Chauntelle DuPree, the oldest member of Eisley. Her favored instruments include a vintage Gretsch, a modified Lotus, and a Larrave acoustic."[/b]

I wonder where she got that idea, then... Wink A little help, Saellys? Smile I'm really interested in knowing.

I just did some more research, and you're right. I knew it was the Silver Jet model, but I didn't realize that it also comes in the champagne sparkle finish. That accounts for why it doesn't look so silvery in the "Marvelous Things" video and some pictures. Thanks, DeathRockBoy! Cool
