look in ogg (I still don't know if that's up or not)

or

strangeyellowpatterns.com

look for icbtfy during the final noise tour (I'm not 100% sure if there is one there). or look on youtube. one of boyd's videos was pretty good. I'll see if I can find that.

edit:

I couldn't find the boyd video but here's one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWAK4XqPIhk

or this one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Q_EJLuBh1s

it's insane to see Stacy singing chauntelle's part now and I compleatly forgot about how it used to end. good times.

For a few months after I first heard Invasion, I thought it was: "You would take the challenge as we go about our war" at the end of the chorus. Hah.

this is a little off, but
the Iron and Wine song, "Lion's Mane" that stacy covered...
i always thought it the last line was
"love is the best and ever-waiting in the Lion's Mane."
not "best endeavor"

i like my version way better. Evil or Very Mad

stacy has some of the words wrong on her version.

like

iandw
"the rusty gears of morning"
stacy
"the rusty gears of warning"

iandw
"loves the best sensation hiding in the lions mane"
stacy
"loves the best sensastion i remember lions mane"

iandw
"burns a scented oil that ill drip into your bath"
stacy
"burns a scented oil let it drip into your bath"

I was just thinking about making a post about this, Jan Claus! Smile

These are the only ones I can remember right now, but I know I have more. I had a lot of the sames ones as you guys, too.

Ten Cent Blues:

I heard: "I do, I do, and fairly well"
It's really: "Adieu, adieu and fair thee well"

I heard: "A stranger in a happy fit, so glad I'm part of it"
It's really: "A stranger end, a happy fit so glad I'm part of it"

I was listening to Ten Cent Blues today and knew that I wasn't hearing the lyrics right.

The actual lyrics:

"...shaking hands on the doormat..."

What I heard:

"...shaking hands on a donut..." (which makes zero sense, but that is what my ears heard at first. Ha.)

Hey LadyJane I heard the same thing in ten-cent blues because I can't get used to the idea that english-speaking people say adieu as if it were adiou. To me it's the French adieu! I remember when my teacher used to correct me while reading aloud the Shakesperean plays!

Do you not like the new ICBTFY? I think because I loved the live version so much, I couldn't not love the new version. They may have dropped the 2nd verse but the Chauntelle singing has to make up for that, right?

the only thing i miss about the old version is how the drums sounded. they were so much stronger and made the song sound so much more exotic to me haha

i could've sworn it was bucket! there is a bit of sherri art floating about that basically illustrates that set of lyrics and SHE'S CARRYING STARS ON STICKS IN A BUCKET.

Yeah, there's no way it's anything but "bucket"
Also, that Sherri art is one of my favorites, hence my name here.
