http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/viewtopic.php?t=30386 http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/viewtopic.php?t=31016 I'm not optimistic. There's pretty much no reason, five months after the album is released, for WB to press vinyl. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Perhaps if the sales can jump up and it gets a jolt of popularity. As is not unheard of in the industry. (Seriously, several successful albums have languished for upwards of a year before hitting.) But for now, I don't see it making financial sense, as cool as it would be. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

WB almost certainly owns the masters. And even if they could, pressing vinyl is fairly cost-prohibitive for a band that still hasn't recouped. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I remember boyd talking about how he was hurrying to finish the artwork for vinyl before the cd was released and so there were plans for it. Fiest's The Remember didn't come out on vinyl until a year+ later and so there still might be hope for those who still want it. |

Norah Jones? mr pine wrote: oliez wrote: DRMS_7888 wrote: Wasn't the album digitally recorded anyway? yeah. so the reason for a vinyl is pointless. i dont get the vinyl for better sound. i get it because vinyl is sweet to have Thats half the reason I like it. The other half is the sound. With Combinations it would be just because it's cool, though. |
