And yeah, it's kind of creepy how much information is available to mods, and especially Admin. Good thing Jamie's not a predator.  It's actually pretty creepy what information is on the internet. I run a webcomic and every time someone visits my website, I can get their IP address, city, state, country, OS, browser resolution, which pages they visited, from what page they came to the site, and more. Further research can allow even more information. I was once able to track down the IP address to a particular apartment complex just off campus (the complex had its own IP address range). _________________

However, getting that specific usually requires that you go through the ISP, who isn't likely to give you that information without a warrant. On an interesting note, if someone owns a website, you can usually find out all sorts of information on then (including address and phone number), so it works both ways I suppose. But indeed, the lesson to be learned is that if you are on the internet, you have no privacy. _________________

This thread was most amusing. And yeah, I saw gabe was posting in that one other thread and Nora said - hey is that you gabe - and he got all freaked out about trying to fly under the radar or something. But anyway, glad to see the new Boyd journal info. Sounds like the pre-tour stuff is pretty intense, and his desk is now in his bedroom or something. Pretty soon he'll be working out of the back of a van down by the river. Poor guy.
