Sergio wrote: Eh, it's a college review... from Oregon. And it's so obviously spiteful, that I think most won't take it very seriously. wow, thanks for all the generalizations. I work for college publication at a school much smaller than the University of Oregon. Should i preface every article I write with "Im in college so this will suck"? Admittedly, it was a poorly written review, but college radio/publication happens to be the savior of independent music. Try to remember that. TheAntrider wrote: Hey now! There are some college papers that are better than "real" papers. But I won't get into that. Just ... don't knock it too much, y'know? See. when shain read that review he wrote: I am sorry. Did you even read one thing written about them before you wrote this? I doubt it, because that was some of the most unintelligent drivel I have every waisted my time on.
You blindly bash the idea of an EP, inferring that bands who use them are promotion starved, unsuccessful, untalented bands as a way of building themselves up. But you aren't done, you have yet to go on about how Eisley is uncreative, and untalented. Maybe this is because your head is so numb with all the mass produced, manufactured music that you no longer have the ability to recognize real talented musicians. Then you rant and rave about a band, who actually does has zero talent in their typical uncreative, 'custom-made for college radio', indie rock. Perhaps you should rethink your career decision about both, and reviewer, and a writer. *note how I backed all my insults with references to your writing, which is so ridiculous, I almost feel ashamed to be commenting on it. Unlike you, who the only thing more hollow than your petty, childish insults, was the research you invested in them. _________________

Eisley's 'marvelous' EP is anything but; Yeltsin captures indie mood Posted 02/09/2004 who the hell are yeltsin? i dont see any UK people knowing of a band called 'yeltsin'. Eisley band members are some of the nicest people you could ever meet from what i have heard, there music is amazing, and if Eisley are so 'uninteresting', 'unimportant' how come they were the opening band for one of the UKs biggest fests? and how come they drew over 20,000 people to see them? i think this review is stupid, your a crap reviewer and you dont know what good music is. this review is a bad one. how many bands do you know that have done as many gigs as eisley in the space of one year? thats is all i have to say. Ollie student UK oregon scumbag hehe |
