Have a friend in England, said there was a brief mention in some magazine over there that Eisley was either playing Leeds or something called the V Festival. Said something like: "Plenty of big name acts plus ones you've never heard of before (Eisley, anyone?)" Are they taking the big trip across the pond?

Yup,
They are heading to jolly ole England to play the V festival, I believe.

I think it was mentioned in the announcements section...

yeah it was on teletext (do you get that in the usa Question ) didnt exactly portray the band in good light, kinda like how did these people get on the main stage. but yeah they are playing and i shall hopefully be there, still rallying the troops to buy tickets Smile

Once they experience Eisley playing live, they won't wonder who they are any longer, but instead, they will wonder when they will be able to see them again!

i dont think you should worry too much! the 'article' in which it was written seemed to highlight the variety of acts at this years festival, which imo is the best uk festival apart from glastonbury (which has radiohead Exclamation ), dont think my previous post would have given you much confidence though, sorry Embarassed

anyway i find the atmosphere at festivals much more relaxed because people arent there just to see 1 act and so hopefully you wont feel under too much pressure!!

oh and dont turn up in cowgirl/boy out fits - way too cheesy Laughing

Hello eisley. I work in the Royal Palace and...quite assuredly, am the Queen's butler - Rubarb E.Wallace the first (just, "Dudley" to the Queen). I wish to express the Queen's condolences for this unruly, irrresponsible press concerning your credentials regarding the solicitation from key members of the V-Fest towards the unmistakeable fruition and eventuality of your trip to the UK and your performance. What do you call them; "shows", I believe? yes, well...

We are jolly pleased to have you yanks come to our old country and play on our finest outdoor festival stages; Please stop by the Royal Palace on Penny Lane while you're in town for a quick spot of tea - where all our barbers carry portraits of the Queen.

oh..and Sir Paul gives his regards.

My boyfriend is actually from Pontefract, England...which is about 13 miles from Leeds. You need not fear the English folk because I know that they will love you and your music. Oliver absolutely LOVES your ep2. I made a copy for him and he is always listening to it. I hope you guys play Leeds next year because I am going to school there from January to June.
Oh, and whoever said English people love Texans is absolutely right. They adore our yeehaw attitude. It's great.

you're all wrong, I AM english and i do not love texas, cant stand the place Razz just kidding, i have never been, my parents have several times, in fact they are going again, to houston next week!

i'd love to visit one day but seriously the cowgirl/boy out fit idea is way too cheesy. then again its a festival so you never know it may just go down well!

as for worrying about us english, i really shouldnt worry, as music fans we are pretty open minded, the only thing to be aware of is the NME they seem to think that they can dictate who succeeds and who fails in the uk as musicians, problem is most genuine music fans have lost much respect for them cos they are often plain idiots and their opinions count for nothing in the grand scheme of things. though sometimes they are right. anyway stick two fingers up to the NME and they'll be fine Laughing j/k
