The version they were playing of Blacken Crown was different (instrumentally) than the one from the moss ep. I personally thought it was a great ending, but I was noticing a lot of people kind of getting their things ready to go as the song was going on, but I was taking it all in. I'm glad I got to see it at least once. It's good to see Chauntelle came back out with the Envy Corps. She did a great job at Tulsa. |

aw thanks for sharing your pictures and no one hate me for this, but seriously. half the people i heard talking in austin did not know enough about the band to know song titles, which one was which, or their names. i mean, come on. even if you're a new fan, you don't say "the one that goes like this _________" and get the melody wrong. and you don't go to a concert and say you only came because you and your friends wanna meet "adam lazzarra because he's hott as #$^$^" SO, i think the whole "bored fans" think about blackened crown is really not fair to some people who've been waiting for it for years. And since the band made such a big deal about how this is a "special" tour, shouldn't they play blackened crown and if you're wondering? even though they did play alot of songs, i can honestly say theirs was probably the shortest headlining set i've ever seen. sooo rushed-feeling. |

I can't blame them though -- they're probably all extremely exhausted from a lack of days off/being sick. Sherri did tell us about her encounter with wheatgrass shots from Jamba Juice that almost made her throw up though (thanks to Stacy). _________________ Be happy, be contagious. |

The banter is down a lot, but I can't blame them. It must be hard constantly being "on" when on stage, but before they would come up with things after songs and a lot sounded staged/like they've said it through all the tour. This time I've noticed they don't really talk between songs unless something in the crowd starts it. It sounded a lot more genuine. |

It seemed like there was very little communication with the crowd I can't tell anything about banter until I see a show, but the song list doesn't seem to be any shorter than usual, and I keep hearing that they play for about 80 minutes. Which is really about par for the Eisley headlinig course. Though they definitely should announce a few more song titles from the sound of it. I know Sherri has been sick, though, so it's hard to tell exactly if that's planned. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

not neccessarily time. it's like, ok, please for the love of God, even if they have to take songs out... talk! it's just frustrating. if i wanted to only hear the songs live, i could watch youtube for 80 minutes. i'd hoped that each show would be a unique, memorable experience. but ive been to 5 and theyre basically uniform. |

though i understand where ya'll are coming from.. in defense of the band, despite having toured many times before, its probably still sorta really awkward to make 'small talk' on stage with a bunch of people you dont know. especially if you dont know if they'll 'get' your humor or even be interested in whatever weird story you have. no one likes to talk to a potentially dead crowd. im 25 and just finally sorta attempting to burst out of my shyness. not everyone can be chatty kathies. especially with random strangers. perhaps as the tour goes on they'll sink into the routine more and feel more at ease and chitchat more. if you want them to talk and be more open, maybe YOU should say something in between their music. icebreaker, yo. |

Funny that you guys mention the less banter thing. I thought it was only because I went to the first show of the tour and they were warming up or whatever. Yes, I think they can be naturally funny but... I'm surprised some people are making it sound like it's necessary. A lot of bands actually don't talk in between songs because they think that will just annoy people, who came just to see them play their music. I don't know.. it's different for everyone. |

Yeah, it's tough coming up with something to please everyone. Some people can't even stand it when people tune their guitars on stage. I can say that Eisley are virtual headbanging motormouths on stage compared to the first times I saw them, though. P.S. I don't hate you Hilary. ha. Just so you know, and just because it can be hard to tell when people are bashing you on a forum and when they are disagreeing a bit. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

haha i get it. i know people have different opinions and its totally cool. i'm just used to seeing more outgoing, talkative, "hey i was gonna play this but let me tell my story first" musicians. im in no way saying i don't like the band as much based on their live show, just that i don't see myself going to many more. make sense? |
