Quote: And tonight we're going to hear 3 new songs. I'll report about the content
in general - to see if it's all about mermaids and dragons and enchantedness. boyd hahahahaha i always thought there was way more meaning to song than mermaids and pirate cannons.....for example, telescope eyes, all about being nice to weird/different people _________________ "Let's play chickenball!" http://www.myspace.com/near_harad |

how can you ask any artist to "define" their creation permanently? listen, and if you don't understand something listen again until it means something to you. that's what art does. creates meaning for you. _________________ remember when we used to think that all of our childhood dreams would fall into place by some heavenly grace but now i can see, i've made a big mistake daphnelovesderby |

yeah, i like what eddie vedder said a long time ago.. something like "people always ask me what my songs mean.. i don't like to say, because what it means to me is very different from what it means to someone else. it's personal and i don't want to ruin it for someone else" (paraphrasing) _________________ hello. |

the phrase "telescope eyes" and some of the Mr Pine lyrics always reminded me of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds for some reason.......i think i'm going to listen to that now.....thanks p.s. are about half of those lyrics from newer songs? i don't recognize them. i've got to catch a newspaper taxi _________________ I am Torgo. i'm talking to air! and should be studying. anyways, i thought the whole mermaid shrubbery lyrics related to the marevlous things sherri and stacy were singing about. am i wrong? as for the other lyrics, i thought they were all metaphorical. telescope eyes = nerdy glasses? i'm probably wrong. _________________ and iiiii can't live without you and i don't want to. i've done that all my life up til now.

I love the lyric in "Laughing City" that says "Hold on, hold on to the ones you love.....". Full of meaning. Their odd lyricism lends so much authenticity and originality to their srt. Eisley makes true art. Plain and simple like a pimple. Let's face it Lorraine. THey seem to have a dual-sided nature to their lyrics. Dreamy fantasy stuff to realer serious stuff. Experts at the play on words. "The Winter Song"'s "Snowflakes on my lashes" is also "Snowflakes on my eyelashes" put 2gether so clever. "Sea King" to "See King". _________________ Its all in the making. Its all yet to be. Its all leading up to your true destiny. |
