I'm pretty sure there's no legal requirement that you contact the band/label before making a fansite. I think I PMed Boyd back when I started OGG just to let him know what I was doing and make sure it was cool to mirror the old recordings and his videos. Good luck! Running a fansite is tons of fun and I wish yours lots of traffic. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Are we allowed to use the photos posted on this site as long as we credit them back? Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions Advice for you if you do get a site, get good graphics or layout headers. The amount of fan sites I've seen over the years that just had terrible, choppy Paint graphics really put me off - even if it was the most amazing fansite ever (which they generally aren't). A nice, slick looking webpage gets the audience interested and will gain you traffic if it looks good and is infact...good. |
