If you haven't discovered this fan site yet, you will find lots of interesting things here. There are other fan sites too, (and I don't mean to exclude anyone's). I just don't know all of them yet. Do an internet search for Eisley fan sites. But, this has lots of good stuff to keep you busy, and helps bring you up to date. http://www.straylight6.org/ |

you can also check out the Revelation Room. They have some clips of Eisley live. They are rather low quality, but something nonetheless. _________________ signed: Omygosh, Emperor of Shmo **the turtle stamp of approval** www.soulstrum.com |

Those revelation room clips angered me. They were not just low quality but they cut off right in the middle of the chorus of the songs. It left me wanting. thanks for telling me about them anyway. _________________ Hail to the King, baby theufbproject.com |

xlight the firex wrote: the mtv you hear it first thing said they built themselves up in the christian scence. Not this again. I really do believe that the band, their parents, and the people that they are dating would know if the band is a "Christian band" instead of just Christians in a band. _________________

xlight the firex wrote: Quote: the mtv you hear it first thing said they built themselves up in the christian scence Ya know xlight, I have really just held my tongue on most of your comments like this, because, I just figured that you would eventually just realize who EISLEY is, and accept them for who they are, how they got started, and understand it all, without making a big deal out of it. (Now, you are not the only one that has done this, so don't take all of this as a personal jab. It is not intended, or directed solely to your comments). To start with, we are not ashamed of our faith. No excuses here. It's just that it's not that uncommon for talented people in the United States of America, the land of the free, the place where people flocked to have religious freedom, where there are 3 1/2 church buildings on every corner, it's just not that uncommon for A: people to have Christian beliefs B: get started and have the opportunity to grow with their God given talent in their home church, and C: go on to have a career in that talent, whether it be acting, singing, whatever, and they can still have their faith. I guess I just get tired of people trying to pull that fact out and pin it to some bulletin board, or flashing neon sign. The people in EISLEY are just that. People. They have a stong Christian upbringing, and faith in God. No apologies. But, they do music for the masses, not just church mass. They try their best to live by the Christian code for life, but it is not something they beat people over the head with. At some point, people just need to get over that fact, (or accept this fact) and let them be who they are. Very gifted musicians, with a desire to let their music affect this world on a music level, and in the process, live their lives and love people on the way. Trying to highlight this fact over and over, and over again, just seems like people are trying to put a separation between them and everyone else. Or, maybe the motivation is to try and pin a star on their side. It's separationism. (is that a word?) ha! Sometimes, I know it is someone trying to set them up for a fall in the press. Hopeing that at some point they will be able to write some story that says, "yeah...and they are suppose to be Christians". (Like Christians aren't human and subject to mistakes). I am not sure what the motivation is. But, everytime I read a comment like this, (either on the board, or in the press), I think that someone is either trying to claim a prize for their side, or trying to discredit the band. Their beliefs are part of their DNA now. It's a piece of the "WHOLE" puzzle. But, so are the fact that 4/5ths of them are siblings. So is the fact that they found Jonathan with similar background, upbringing, and from a big family of siblings, so is the fact that they lived without tv for 10 years of their growing up years, and had musical parents, so they picked up instruments instead of become boob-tube kids, so is the fact that we did without a lot on one income for 8 people, and it caused them to learn how to be content with the simple things in life, and caused them to have a very strong sibling bond. Point? There are a lot of things that gave them their start. That's my rant for the day. |

I don't usually comment on this but I'm going to now for some reason... I'm very happy that eisley have the attitudes that Kim just pointed out.I totally respect their religious beliefs and everyone else's for that matter but I know myself and I am being really honest in saying that if eisley were really pushing their religion in any way and basically preaching then it would totally turn me off,it's a shame this topic keeps rearing it's ugly head,I get sick of reading it time and again so I imagine it's 100X worse for the band and the bands family having to correct it all the time. I don't know why this 'christian band" thing keeps popping up...to me they are 5 musicians in a band _________________
