http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebTqsqbP9Lg I did a cover of "My Cup of Tea," which is one of those evil stolen baby songs. Instead of waiting for someone to stumble across it, I figured I'd just make it known on LC so Boyd might eventually see it and make up his mind about letting me keep it on youtube or not. (I put this in eisleyBlog instead of general or shameless because I felt this was more about Eisley than anything.) _________________ Taylor | @thbrogan http://inconnumag.com |

Thoughts: You have a good voice, good tone, and a jazziness in your phrasing. Never heard that song, cause I don't do "the Baby" thing. As far as getting feedback from the Eisley team - Facebook and Twitter seem to be be really proactive ways to get a direct response sooner rather than later. Heard a saying a few years back that applies: "it's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to ask permission." _________________ yup, that's my name. He'll see this soon enough. _________________ Taylor | @thbrogan http://inconnumag.com |

I love your voice, and would really love to hear it through a better mic, but even through a webcam you sound great. Solo a capella is hard to pull off. If I could change anything, I would have made the gaps between lines and verses shorter. You kept the pace of the song, but I think a bit of reorganization would have suited the format. I hope the DuPrees decide this should stay, because it's great. Good job! _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

general curious question; "stolen" song or not. I don't think Eisley, or anyone, can tell you to take a cover off of you tube. it is allowed under the copyright act. you are not uploading something that belongs to someone else. you are not taking money for it (even if you were it would still be "ok" kind of. I mean it gets a little grey there). I understand that maybe, if they were to ask you to take it down, out of the kindness of your heart you might. but you certainly didn't do anything against the TOS of You Tube. Or Illegal for that matter. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... Yeah, it's more of a moral question than legal one. One negative consequence might be that calling attention to the unreleased songs will bring attention to those songs, which no one can get via a method they 100% support. Their acquiescence doesn't equal consent. It's not approval, it's submission. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons.
