The band, after all, went by this name for a few years and only came to the conclusion that it needed changed when they went to WB. There are bands called sky walker. You cannot copyright a common name. Now if they played in wookie costumes or wore their hair like Carrie Fisher, that together with the name might have been a problem. Was the star wars band in episode 4 called Mosseisley? BTW Warner Brothers sucks. |

Either just prior to or after they got signed to WB I think. There were legal ramification to consider as far as I recall. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. LC > FB |

There's a band called Nerf Herder, which is pretty unmistakably a Star Wars reference, and I'm pretty sure they haven't been sued yet. WB was overly skittish, but George Lucas is also completely insane and richer than God, so I would have taken any chances either. I have a MossEisley sticker on my Epiphone case, and a shirt from way back in the day that's a youth small so I'm saving it for my future children. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I completely regret not being around for the early years. I only discovered Eisley after the Marvelous Things "single" had been made into a video, because that was the first thing I ever saw/heard. But I wish I could have had some of the merch. I can't even find the vinyl Room Noises LP, which I feel would be a little easier to come by than MossEisley shirts. Meh. _________________ Taylor | @thbrogan http://inconnumag.com |

I didn't start listening to them until the Coldplay tour when they had just changed their name, but I got in early enough to buy merch when they were still shipping it out from the DuPree garage, and Kim threw in some sweet extras with my first order. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Lucas did get Luther Luke (Luther Cambell) Skywalker of 2 Live Crew to change his name to Uncle Luke... _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. LC > FB |

I really don't like Telescope Eyes that much. Not the RM version, not the EP1 or EP2 version.I just don't like it.And still,I love listening to it. What's it about? When I hear it,I picture a six year old Sherri scared of some freaky, really old sailor or something. olimario wrote: I always thought it was a really clever tale of two people who were friends, but one is all dorky with glasses and braces...
